Farmer McDonald saw 22 legs on his farm. He only has hens and sheep.
How many sheep and hens did he see?

| Kylah really thought about this problem. Her solution was to use sticks to represent the legs. " I have two sheep which have four legs each. That makes eight. Then I made 7 hens using two legs for each one. That makes 22 legs. The farmer saw 7 hens and 2 sheep. |

"4 sheep and 3 hens because sheep have four legs and hens have two so if I add it up it comes to 22 legs."
